Membership in the club supports, and promotes, the goals of the MSCA to encourage, promote and improve the breeding of quality purebred Maremma Sheepdogs, both now and into the future. b
By accepting the Standard of the Breed as approved by the Maremma Sheepdog Club of America; and to do all possible to protect and advance the interests of the breed as a working livestock guardian dog.
The club depends on its Members to become active in the MSCA through volunteering for club committees, voting on important matters put before the club, breed stewardship, mentoring, and sharing knowledge and experience.

COMPLIMENTARY MSCA PEDIGREES AVAILABLE VIA EMAIL
The MSCA is dedicated to providing breeders of Maremma Sheepdogs with the resources needed to preserve and protect this beloved breed now and for generations to come.
It is also the goal of the MSCA to work together with breeders to ensure a low COI (Coefficient of Inbreeding). Breeding to keep the COI low will help preserve and protect the Maremma Sheepdog.
Request your free MSCA pedigree by completing the Pedigree Order Form. Please email the completed form to the MSCA Secretary. MSCA Members can also receive a free mailed pedigree. The non-member fee for a mailed pedigree is $5.00.
Please email the MSCA secretary for a hypothetical or "mock" pedigree for any two registered Maremmas that may be potentially mated. When the sire and dam's pedigrees are evaluated as one pedigree, it is visually easier to assess the combination of lineage to determine the COI. Other factors to consider when selecting breeding pairs are working ability, temperament, structure, and genetic disease.
Open to all members of the MSCA, in good standing, who wish to advertise a MSCA registered Maremma Sheepdog or available litter for sale.
Both sire and dam must be registered with the MSCA and have their hips certified through OFA and/or PennHIP, and puppies must be eligible for MSCA registration.
